We are excited to announce with the release of Red Hat Service Interconnect (RHSI) v2.1.2 runs on IBM Power Systems and workloads can now seamlessly join your cross-architecture service mesh!
Red Hat Service Interconnect is based on the Skupper project, allowing you to create a Layer-7 service interconnect across different clouds and clusters. It allows your apps to talk to each other as if they were on the same local network — without complex VPNs or firewall headaches.
A few key things to know about RHSI:
- Security First All traffic is encrypted automatically using mTLS.
- No Root Needed Operates at the application layer; no cluster-admin rights required to get started.
- Seamless Integration Easily connect a frontend in the public cloud to a database on a Power system in your private datacenter.
