Red Hat Service Interconnect (RHSI) now supports IBM Power (ppc64le)!

We are excited to announce with the release of Red Hat Service Interconnect (RHSI) v2.1.2 runs on IBM Power Systems and workloads can now seamlessly join your cross-architecture service mesh!

Red Hat Service Interconnect is based on the Skupper project, allowing you to create a Layer-7 service interconnect across different clouds and clusters. It allows your apps to talk to each other as if they were on the same local network — without complex VPNs or firewall headaches.

A few key things to know about RHSI:

  • Security First All traffic is encrypted automatically using mTLS.
  • No Root Needed Operates at the application layer; no cluster-admin rights required to get started.
  • Seamless Integration Easily connect a frontend in the public cloud to a database on a Power system in your private datacenter.
